Formed in the summer of 1989, the parish of Zambujeira do Mar is located south of Cape Sardão and has in its jagged coastline, a fit of sheer cliffs and small sandy beaches, its main "card-to-visit." Is that also the major reason that makes its population of just over 800 people to increase exponentially and it starts to get warm.
All this makes Zambujeira do Mar is now one of the major tourist destinations, with its main beach (the same "linked" to the town) or the smaller sands of Alteirinhos, Our Lady, or the Arquinha Coop's almost obligatory point of passage for any vacationer or outdoorsman.

But tourism is not only the land, which is rich ... in the sea! It is precisely in Zambujeira do Mar where is the input das Boats, one of four "Portinho" of concelho where the local community still maintains the tradition of fishing.

SUCCESS STORIES
       - Created in 2001 by Dutch businessman Ferry Enthoven in the small town of Malave, parish of São Teotónio, the ATLANTIC GROWERS year exported about 18 thousand tons of peppers of all varieties "Spider" and "Vitapep" for markets Central Europe.
